Shop Mama

She's one of my biggest supporters. Even though I've only been in her life for a little less than two years. 

Her name is Shop mama, or Shop. Like, seriously.. that's what they call her. It's not some thing I made up for the blog... that's her name! Aka Duck dude's momma. And today, is her birthday. 

Reasons I am excited she is going to be my mother in law, 2nd mom, mom: 

• She has good taste. I do not have to worry about getting some terrible sweater and having to pretend to like it! "Wow, I love sunflower seeds... which leads me to loving sunflowers? And it's fall, so you might as well throw in some pumpkins.... it's exactly what I wanted??"
  
• She offers wedding advice without being demanding. You know what I'm talking about, I've heard horror stories of moms imposing their ideas into the wedding. I am so thankful she tells me things like "if your invitations are longer than a certain size, you have to up your postage." Because I would have never known that. I'm also glad she's not demanding these be our cake toppers because Duck Dude likes ducks. 
  

• She is one of my most loyal readers on this silly little blog I have. And that means a lot to me. 
• She has graciously accepted the fact that I am a Baylor bear! And even wants a Baylor shirt. Now that is cool. 
• She has treated me like a family member since day 1. I can feel her genuine excitement for this upcoming wedding. Like when I am decorating our house while Duck Dude is gone, I get a text that says "Love seeing you excited about your new home. It won't be long."
  
• She is a kind, sweet spirited, fun loving woman who raised a kind, sweet spirited, fun loving son who I now get to marry. How can you not be excited about that?
