Here's a list of things I do while not sleeping from 4-6 am.
1. Count Sheep. I tried it. I was desperate. It's not fun. I think I got to 10 measly sheep before I was done with this theory. I mean, I'm a pre-algebra teacher... counting by ones just seemed so elementary to me. I would much rather do pythagorean theorem with sheep or something. If 12 sheep were stacked against a wall and 13 sheep formed a diagonal line to the ground, how many sheep would be from the wall to the sheep on the ground? That's way more my style.
2. Finished my book. At 5 am. I finished Defending Jacob. If you saw "The Judge" with Robert Downey Jr., it's similar to that but reverse! It's about a dad who is defending his 14 year old son who has been charged with murder of a classmate. It definitely kept my attention! There is SO much that happens in the last 1/3 of the book! Now I have to figure out which book I want to start and take on vacation!!
3. Speaking of vacation, I plan vacation outfits in my head. I've been trying to think of new outfits with the clothes I currently have. Pairing things together that I wouldn't normally put together. The tulle skirt from the honeymoon will definitely make another appearance. The white pants are a staple that I cannot go without, but what can I pair them with that's different? Then, I walked into the Impeccable Pig and found a dress that I had to have. So, new outfits with old clothes and one new dress!
Last night was a little better. I was only awake from 4-5. So maybe this phase is coming to an end. It better before school starts, because I don't think I can take my 1-3 pm naps during school.
