We stayed at Sandals Grande (pronounced grand.... not grande... I had to remind Duck Dude we were not in Mexico!) in St. Lucia and it was the most beautiful place I have ever been!
It is a volcanic island, so there a beautiful, green mountains wherever you look and then you're standing on the beach. The majority of their economy comes from tourists, so the people of St. Lucia are sincerely happy you are there. They greet you with warm smiles and are extremely helpful with whatever you need.
The pictures I'm posting today do not include the professional ones we took with the resort, so those will have to come at another time.... because our prom poses look real good.
We had the coolest swim up room!!! With our very own patio that led to a more secluded pool!
At the beach bbq the first night we were there! We got sat by the coolest English people, Gemma and Dane!
We layed on the beach the first day! The water was a little chilly, but it either warmed up throughout the week or we just got used to it!
Dinner at the Italian restaurant and more beach laying!!
Our boat tour and the Pirates of the Carribean cave!! It's in the movie where are the skeleton heads are hanging down!
The Piton mountains of St. Lucia!
In the volcanic mud that smells so much like Sulfur you can barely think. Our tour guide told us if we needed to pass gas, then would be the time to do it!
Then we washed off in a natural spring. Does that picture even look like real life?!
We snorkeled between the two mountains and Duck Dude punched a giant hole in a rock.
Then we had lunch at our tour guides mom's restaurant. Like real, authentic creole food. It was excellent!! We found a Texas flag, so of course we took a picture!! And we had an insane view!!
Dinner at the pub and a walk out to a little penninsula on the edge of the resort!
Our beach dinner date!!! Complete with a storm blowing in!!
We had breakfast on our patio one day and we took our Yeti cups everywhere!! Always representing ducks, of course!!
We had a fantastic hibachi night with wonderful friends!! Lorenzo was definitely a fun personality and we were with our English friends and our Kansas City friends!
My tan got progressively darker throughout the week and my husband so graciously took my photo in my new tulle skirt that I was so excited to wear! It will absolutely be making another appearance somewhere!
Now the only question is.... when are we going back?!
What an AMAZING honeymoon!! We are going to a Sandals resort in the Bahamas in May for our honeymoon and I cannot wait! And seriously, that tulle skirt is amazing! You look sooo happy :)

DeleteLooks like y'all had a blast! My fiancé and I were thinking of going there, but because of his job he won't be able to get time off so we're planning on doing something similar for our 1 year. I love the outfits you wore though. :) Congrats.
